Biometric Safe Recall Notice to Consumers

SA Consumer Products is voluntarily recalling certain safes with biometric locks in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The products contain a biometric interface that allows unpaired fingerprints to open the safe until a fingerprint is programmed, allowing unauthorized persons, including children, to access hazardous contents, including firearms.

SA Consumer Products is aware of 77 reports of the safes being opened by unauthorized users, including at least three reports of children being able to access the safe.  No injuries have been reported.
