Why is the firm conducting this recall?The products contain a biometric interface that allows unpaired fingerprints to open the safe until a fingerprint is programmed, allowing unauthorized persons, including children, to access hazardous contents, including firearms. We are aware of 77 reports that the safes would open for any fingerprint, including at least three reports of children being able to access the safe.

What is the problem with my biometric safe?The products contain a biometric interface that allows unpaired fingerprints to open the safe until a fingerprint is programmed, allowing unauthorized persons, including children, to access hazardous contents, including firearms.

My product seems to be working fine. Can I continue to use it?No, you should immediately remove the batteries from the safe and only use the provided keys to open the safe until you receive a repair kit. The repair kit consists of a new biometric circuit board component that will not default to open, as approved by CPSC.

How long will it take for me to receive my circuit board repair kit?The circuit board repair kit will be shipped between 4 weeks and 8 weeks from the date of processing your request for the circuit board repair kit.

What tools do I need once my repair kit arrives?You should only need a Philips Head Screwdriver in addition to the repair kit sent to you.
